Jamaal Germany , 30, of Gaithersburg, Montgomery County, Maryland, United States allegedly tried to kidnap a child aged 11 to 13 on March 20, 2023. The child is attending Redland Middle School in Rockville, Montgomery County. At 7:20 a.m. that day, Germany grabbed the child who was waiting at a bus stop with friends. The bus stop is at the intersection of Towne Crest Drive and Towne Crest Court in Gaithersburg. Germany pulled the child towards an apartment building but other students who witnessed what happened jumped in.
